Cottey Senior Lauren Johnson has been named the NAIA & American Midwest Conference Player of the Week. 

Johnson had 5 Home Runs over 7 games last week to help secure the honor. Johnson was the 2022-23 American Midwest Conference Player of the Year for Softball. The Lockport, IL native is a Health and Biomedical Sciences major, and plans to graduate this spring. She is currently hitting .415 this year, with 7 Home Runs, and a slugging percentage of .906. She is also a strong defensive presence at Catcher, while also being used as a utility player.
