The Comets move to 9–4 on the season, highlighted by a statement performance from the offense and a complete game from freshman pitcher Addison Tippie.

GAME 1 – MidAmerica Nazarene 4, Cottey 1

The opener was a tight contest early, but one big inning from the Pioneers proved to be the difference.

Martinez Strikes First

Cottey grabbed a 1–0 lead in the third when Alehsandra Martinez launched a solo home run to left — her second long ball in as many days.

MidAmerica Nazarene answered with a three‑run bottom half, capitalizing on a bases‑loaded walk and a two‑run fielder's choice to take a 3–1 lead. They added another run in the fifth to make it 4–1.
