Linda Himes was named head coach of the Cottey College women’s bowling program in January 2026 and enters her first full season leading the Comets in 2026-27.
Coach Himes brings an accomplished collegiate playing career and a passion for developing student-athletes to Cottey. She began her collegiate career at Kansas Wesleyan University, where she earned NAIA All-Tournament Team honors, before competing at Webber International University. At Webber, she earned First Team All-American honors and finished as a Player of the Year Runner-Up. Coach Himes earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sports Business Management from Webber International University.
In addition to her collegiate accomplishments, Coach Himes is a United States Bowling Congress Silver-Level Certified Coach and holds multiple Kegel Coaching Master Program certifications. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach through the International Sports Science Association. Before joining Cottey, she spent nearly a decade at Holiday Entertainment Center in Texarkana, Arkansas, gaining experience in bowling center operations, lane maintenance, and the technical side of the sport.
