The Cottey College 4x800m relay squad etched their names into program history over the weekend, breaking the school record with a blazing 9:59.33 at the Coach Wilson Invitational, hosted by Wichita State.
The quartet of Kate Soukup, Jessie Mick, Madalenn Fee, and Hannah Hayduk delivered a gutsy, well-paced performance that marked the first sub-10-minute relay in Cottey's history. Each leg showcased the team's depth and cohesion, with Fee—already a school record holder in the 1000m—anchoring the effort with trademark grit.
This milestone adds to a growing list of achievements for Cottey's track program, signaling a strong start to the spring season and setting the tone for future relay success.
