Madalenn Fee Breaks School Record for Indoor Mile

Madalenn Fee Breaks School Record for Indoor Mile

Cottey senior Madalenn Fee added another major milestone to her historic indoor season, breaking the Cottey College school record in the Mile and hitting the NAIA "B" qualifying standard over the weekend with a time of 5:01. Her performance not only reset the program record book — it also vaulted her into the top 10 nationally in the NAIA for the event.

Fee's breakthrough run continues a remarkable stretch of racing that has included multiple school records, national standards, and consistent podium finishes. Her combination of strength, pacing discipline, and late-race competitiveness has made her one of the most dangerous middle‑distance athletes in the conference and now one of the elite runners in the country.

Junior Avery Morris also competed at the Pitt State meet, taking 41st in a massive field during the 5000m run.

With championship season approaching, Fee has positioned herself as a legitimate national contender and a cornerstone of Cottey's rising track and field program.
