Cottey took home the win in a 3-1 set as the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy took on your Cottey Comets at the Hinkhouse Arena Saturday October 22, 2022. The Comets are now 7-1 while playing at Hinkhouse. 

Set 1: Cottey 25 – UHSP 12
Your Cottey College Comets were hot out of the gate with a decisive 25-12 win in set 1 of Saturday's game. The Comets set the pace early with a 9-1 run to open the set. UHSP was unable to gain any momentum as the Comets barreled through their first set, with the first set ending with a kill by Mahalia Swink on an assist from Alli Jo Mitchell.

Set 2: Cottey 18 – UHSP 25
The Comets surged into set 2, but UHSP jumped out to an early 6-2 set lead and the Comets were never able to recover. The Comets pulled to within two mid-set, but UHSP staved off the Comets with a 6-2 run to end the set with a 25-18 win.

Set 3: Cottey 25 – UHSP 17
Set 3 found the conference adversaries trading points until the Comets went on a six point run with Magdalen Dougherty serving for Cottey. A kill by Kyleigh Talbott with an assist from Alli Jo Mitchell sent the game to Set 4 with the Cottey College Comets up 2-1.

Set 4: Cottey 25 – UHSP 21
Cottey came into Set 4 up 2-1. A back and forth set had both schools fighting hard to take control of the game. Ultimately, the Comets were able to close out the set with a 25-21 win over UHSP to end the day.



Magdalen Dougherty led the Cottey College Comets with 17 digs, Ali Dawson led the Comets with 21 kills on 46 total attacks.
